The World of Keyewai

August 12, 1959

A small Cessna 180 battles against a typhoon somewhere over the Pacific Ocean. When Brad Green convinced his wife Pamela to travel the world, this is not the outcome he expected. The map doesn’t show any island around and a water landing is impossible. When all hope is lost, Pam spots a small uncharted island. The strong winds rip the airplane apart as Brad attempts a landing, spewing its passengers over the thick forest.

Bruised and battered, the Pam and Brad regain conscience and commence the search for the airplane’s cockpit. Locating the radio and black box might be their only way off this island. In the pitch black, Pam stumbles on what seems like a root. As she gets closers, the moonlight shines on a skeleton. Near it, Pam finds two flashlights and a picture of two young couples. Pam cries when she realizes that the she might die in this Island. Brad picks her up and they go forward into the darkness, armed only with their flashlights.

On the other side of the island, the tribe of the Keyewai praise the skies after spotting a trail of fire across the atmosphere. The gods have blessed them with magic once more. As the banging of the drums echoes, the men sharpen their weapons. They go into the forest, filled with wild animals and the spirits of their antecessors.

Tonight, they will hunt…
